The repression of Trump DC continues during the Labor Day with more criminal arrests

Federal agents working in the direction of the Trump administration arrested 70 people on the evening of the Labor Day in Washington, DC, including 27 illegal immigrants and individuals accused of assault and harassment.

According to a White House official, many of the arrested people had previous criminal history for assault, driving into drunkenness in a state of drunkenness, violation of the anti-update, fraud, burglary order and taking a look into a housing.

One of the people arrested on the day of the Labor Day had already been arrested for qualified theft for having attacked a 77 -year -old woman and stole her handbag, according to the White House manager. Another had already been arrested for assault against a police officer, while several had been arrested for domestic violence, in particular by stifling the victim, as well as possession of substances controlled with intention to distribute.

A criminal arrested had already been sentenced to assault with a dangerous weapon sentenced to 45 months of incarceration, according to the official.

The arrests were made by more than 3,200 officials of 22 agencies.

This follows President Donald Trump to sign a decree in March to establish a “safe and beautiful DC work force”.

On August 7, Trump declared a public security emergency in the city and invoked article 740 of the law on the domicile of the Columbia district to place the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) under federal control. He also deployed around 800 troops from the National Guard and reassigned federal agencies of agencies such as ice to patrol the city.

To date, there have been 1,669 total arrests since the intervention of the Trump administration. Among the people arrested within the framework of the operation are 16 known members of gangs, including members of the MS-13 and Tren of Aragua gangs, who were appointed by the State Department.

Five missing children were rescued due to the federal operation. In addition, 50 homeless camps were authorized in the city, and the MPD works with city officials to locate and eliminate additional camps.

In a social article of truth on Sunday, Trump said that “DC is now an area without crime, in just 12 days !!!”

Trump congratulated the mayor of DC Muriel Bowser for having cooperated with his administration, saying in a social article of truth: “Wow! The mayor Muriel Bowser of DC has become very popular because she worked with me and my great people to bring crime to practically nothing to DC”

Bowser initially expressed the fear of Trump’s plan to repress the crime in the national capital; However, the mayor admitted during a press conference last week that the federal wave had a notable impact on the city.

During the briefing, Bowser posted a graphic crediting the influx of the FBI police, DEA, ATF, American Park and Capitol with the strengthening of MPD’s efforts and said: “We greatly appreciate the wave of officers who improve what MPD was able to do in this city.”

The Bowser office refused the request for comments from Fox News Digital.
