EXCLUSIVE: In light of the wave of conflicts in the Middle East and the growing tension in the United States, the Oklahoma Ministry of Education sent a note to all the public schools of the State guiding them to “protect students from educators from the awakened, radicalized and robust type attempt, pushed by left educators”.
In the memo, the superintendent of Oklahoma public education, Ryan Walters, said: “Oklahoma children will learn facts, not on indoctrination.”
The memo issues new orientations to OKLAHOMA public schools to ensure that social studies courses present a teaching on Israel which is “historically anchored and balanced”, requiring teaching using primary sources, historical evidence and “the custody against anti -Semitic or politicized accounts”.
His new advice orders Oklahoma public educators to present the story of Israel and his “struggle to rightly exist in the world, including the atrocities of the Holocaust and the current struggle with Iran, in a historically founded, intellectually honest and free way of anti -Semitic bias”.

“These standards provide an essential context to understand modern threats to Jewish communities and democratic nations and oblige students to think critically while ensuring that the teaching of Israel is historically anchored and balanced,” said the note.
This occurs while anti-Semitic incidents have increased across the country since 2020. Tensions have increased even more after Israel’s launch of Iran and the United States joining the launch of strikes on three Iranian nuclear development sites on Saturday.
Fox News Digital obtained a copy of the note sent to schools. In the memo, the Oklahoma State Education Department underlines the recent controversy in New York in which they declared that a standardized state examination guide “describes Zionism as a” colonial “movement and included deceptive references to terrorism”.
The service note said that New York “firmly recalls that there is an ideology and educational material not only distorting historical fact, but also the promotion of ideologies which are incompatible with the values of Oklahoma”.

“Oklahoma standards are designed to prevent this by defining clear expectations for content accuracy and educational integrity,” said the memo.
“The tragic events of October 7, 2023 – when Hamas activists launched a brutal surprise attack on Israeli civilians, killing more than 1,200 people and taking hundreds of hostages – marked a turning point in modern history of the Middle East,” said memo. “These developments are not only the headlines, they are the history of manufacturing and highlight the urgent need for educators to present world conflicts with clarity, precision and moral responsibility.”
In a declaration sent by email to Fox News Digital, Walters praised the Oklahoma history standards, claiming that they are “the best in the country” because they are based on facts and safeguarded the students of left -wing, radicalized and terrorist educators pushed by left -wing educators. “”
