The continuation of the federal trial of Ryan Routh, accused of having tried to assassinate President Donald Trump in his West Palm Beach golf club in 2024, called on Thursday a series of experts in application of the law and laws as a prosecutors near the end of their case.
The jurors heard Randy Walters, an ATF destructive device examiner, who testified that the Gray box had recovered at the home of one of the knowledge of Routh contained homemade devices, including modified rat traps to trigger explosives, pipes and caliber cartridges .50.

In return, Routh asked Walters if the pieces themselves were illegal. Walters agreed that most were not, but later they were asked by prosecutors that he is illegal for a criminal sentenced to have ammunition.
The jurors also obtained their closest look from the semi-automatic Chinese manufacturing rifle prosecutors, say that Routh continued the Trump golf course during the testimony of the FBI special agent, Nicholas Schnellle. Roth, representing himself in court, underlined the documents, sighed audiblely and often excused with the witnesses. Approaching an agent based in Miami during the counter-interrogation, he said: “At least you didn’t have to drive.”
At other times, he told witnesses that their answers should be “just common sense” and continued to speak even after the prosecutors’ objections, which prompted Judge Aileen Cannon to cut him.

The court planned to adjourn at 4:30 p.m. Thursday before holding an indictment with a lawyer. The accusation should rest on Friday, the defense said to prepare its witnesses.
