The President of the Kansas State Senate, Ty Masterson, sets up an offer from governor

The president of the Senate of the State of Kansas, Ty Masterson, joined the domain of the Republicans in the hope of tearing off the governor from democratic control.
Masterson described like “a conservative worker and businessman oriented on results”.
While Kansas has become red in each presidential election for over 50 years, the State has currently had a Democratic Governor.

Governor Laura Kelly has held the post since early 2019, but is not eligible to present herself in 2026 because she is currently serving his second consecutive term.
“No one can be elected more than two successive terms as governor …” State Constitution stipulates.
Masterson’s decision to jump into the race adds another candidate for the Governor’s field of Kansas Gop who also includes the former governor of Kansas Jeff Colyer, the Secretary of State of Kansas Scott Schwab, the Kansas Vicki Schmidt and others.

Colyer, a former Kansas Lieutenant-Governor, went up to the post of governor in 2018 because of Gov. Sam Brownback, a Republican, left the role to serve as an American ambassador as a whole for international religious freedom.
During his service in the post of governor in 2018, Colyer appeared as governor, but was barely slightly in the GOP primary by the Secretary of State of the time, Kris Kobach, who lost the general elections later that year against Kelly.
