The mother shares a heartbreaking testimony on the son shot down by illegal immigrants

As a testimony to the congress on Tuesday, a mother shared the heartbreaking details of the way in which her son, an American veteran, was killed by illegal immigrants on their property in southern Texas under the Obama administration.
Marie Vega, a legal immigrant from Mexico, shared the painful experience of testimony in the hearing of the judicial subcommittee of the Senate on “Biden’s Border betray” on Tuesday.
According to the testimony of Vega, his family benefited from a barbecue on their property in Feria, Texas, when two illegal immigrants “took them into ambush” without any warning in July 2014.
“Our beautiful day turned into a nightmare when two illegal criminal foreigners decided to ambus at an attempt to steal the two four-wheel drive trucks. The two illegals jumped from the stolen vehicle they were driving, and without hesitation or warning, they started to shoot us,” she shared.

Her son and her husband tried to return the fire. But during the attack, his son, Javier “Harvey” Vega Jr., a former maritime and border patrol officer, was killed. Her husband, on the other hand, suffers from permanent injuries of the incident.
Besides the death and the physical wounds that her family suffered, she said that she, her daughter-in-law and her young grandchildren had been traumatized.
“Open boundaries have consequences,” said Vega. “And you can see from what I experienced because of the crimes committed by the illegals, the pain lives with us for the rest of our lives.”
Vega said that she had tried to protect her grandchildren and looked helpless her son in the chest.
Through tears, Vega asked: “Do you know what your son fall after being killed? Do you know what it is to hear the shots, whistling balls in front of you? Do you know what your mind is trying to treat everything, saying to your grandchildren while thinking that your son is on the ground with a ball in his chest?
“Do you know what it is to hear your son’s last words to his father?” Continue to shoot, dad. “Continue to shoot her last words,” she asked, adding: “It should never have happened.”

She described the “nightmare” test, saying: “If my husband and I have not returned fire, the illegals would have killed everyone there, leaving no witness”.
According to the testimony of Vega, the two illegals had previous judicial lockers, had threatened other neighbors in their community and had already been expelled. She said that she continued to live with the “guilt of the survivor” and that he had trouble sleeping at night because of the trauma.
“Open borders have consequences. And you can see from what I experienced because of the crimes committed by the illegals, the pain lives with us for the rest of our lives.”
“11 years old is how much I had trouble surviving without my baby,” she said. “11 years old, I lived with flashbacks at every moment of awakening. 11 years old, we celebrated the birthdays of boys, diplomas, weddings, the start of new families, new careers and incredible achievements, without my baby.
“Illegal foreigners have had an impact on American life in a very negative way,” continued Vega. “They have no respect for human life. As I witness first-hand, the illegals who killed Harvey also shot my husband in the back and shot innocent children and women. My grandchildren and their friend were only eight and 11 years old. Take a moment and imagine that your child or little child witnessed this horror.”

She concluded that “if our immigration laws had been applied, our son would be here”.
“Barack Obama failed me, my family and our community and our nation,” she said.
Addressing the senators of the subcommittee, Vega said: “You have taken an oath to maintain the Constitution and work for us the people. This means working with your politician colleagues, whatever the side of the aisle you are.
