The most read books on GOODREADS in April 2025

April seems to be the turn of the year in terms of the most read books. The Empyrean series still keeps two places in the top five, but it does not have the domination on the list it made in the previous months. We have new titles making an appearance in the first five, including the last volume of one of the most popular Ya series of this century.
Unfortunately, the first five – and let’s be honest, the whole list of 50 titles – is always very white. At a glance, around 98% of the titles on the list of the most read books in Good Adreds are white authors. If you only read the most buzzing books, you miss some of the best published books, so before entering the most read books on Good Adreds in April, let’s talk about three new books in April which are worth adding to your TBR, whether you are looking for romance, litficable or a very bizarre thriller.

The first book in the Empyrean series retains its place in the top five. In one way or another, there are still readers who discover this series even now. More than 71,000 users have marked this Dragon Riding Academy’s book by Romant Riding, as in April. It has an average note of 4.6.

This Romantasy sequel goes up in the ranks of the most read books on Goodreads. This is the third book of Powerless Series, which concerns a “prohibited romance between a powerful prince and an ordinary girl”, and he was released on April 8. It was read by more than 100,000 users last month and has an average score of 4.3.

It was read by 256,000 users last month and has an average score of 4.6, which is one of the highest average notes on the whole list.
