The Ministry of Justice seeks to charge the former director of the FBI, James Comey, for perjury as the deadline to provide accusations to be forged, Fox News learned.
The investigation into Comey focuses on the idea of lying at the congress during its September 30, 2020, testimony to his treatment of the Russian interference in the US presidential election in 2016.
Under the federal law, prosecutors are five years old to bring an accusation, the five -year brand that occurred next Tuesday. The case is processed by the American prosecutor’s office for the Virginia Oriental District.

“MJ officials are about to decide to continue the former FBI director James Comey, to have allegedly lied to the congress in September 2020,” said a source. “There is a great jury in progress on the issue in Virginia. A decision could happen any day.”
The extent of the potential accusations was not clear, just like part of his testimony could be subject to accusations of perjury.
President Donald Trump criticized Comey for years for his management of the investigation and other questions.
“I think they are very dishonest people. I think they are twisted as hell,” said Trump in July about Comey and former CIA director John Brennan. “And maybe they have to pay a price for this.”
Trump finally dismissed Comey in 2017.

Trump argued that Brennan and Comey politicize information to undermine his presidency, calling the investigation The “Russian hoax” and a “rigged witch hunt” which damaged American relations with Russia.
The investigation was finally taken up by the special council Robert Mueller, who finally concluded that there was no insufficient evidence of a criminal conspiracy between Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016 and Russia.
During Trump’s first term, the Ministry of Justice appointed another special lawyer, John Durham, to investigate the potential mismanagement of the FBI of the “Crossfire Hurricane” probe on the alleged Trump-Russia connections.

The investigation led to criminal charges against three Lower level FBI officials. Although Durham discovered serious missteps by the office, he determined that there was no illegal conduct by the management of the FBI.
