New York Town Hall candidate Zohran Mamdani has doubled his plan to tax “richer and white districts”, while adding that he thinks that billionaires should not exist.

The Democratic socialist said on Sunday that his push to charge white taxpayers was not racist, despite his agenda explicitly targeting white majority areas.

“It’s just a description of what we are seeing at the moment,” Mamdani told “Meet the Press” on NBC on Sunday. “It is not motivated by the breed. It is more an assessment of what the districts are under taxed and over-worn.”

Mamdani’s proposal for Mamdani’s policy, “Stop the Sqeeze on the owners of NYC”, describes its plans to “move the tax burden of the owners over-surninated in the external districts to more expensive houses in richer and white districts”.

The policy notes that the owners in the rich districts “pay less than their fair share” and proposes to adjust the tax rates and the evaluation percentages to remedy the supposed imbalance.

When asked if he would modify the language of the proposal, Mamdani has deviated, saying that the proposal is intended to ensure a fair property tax system and that the wording simply reflects an observation.

“The use of this language is only an assessment of the neighborhood.” Mamdani said.

“I just name things as they are,” he added. “What motivates me to this is to create a system of equity. It is not to work upside down from a racial assessment of the neighborhoods or our city.”

Mamdani also reiterated his conviction that “we should not have billionaires”, despite the campaign in the city Most billionaires in the world to 123 people.

“I don’t think we should have billionaires, frankly,” he said. “It is so much money in a moment of such inequality. And finally, what we need is equality in our city and in our state and through our country.”
