First on Fox: Senator Susan Collins, R-Maine, pushes against a pair of ads from a group linked to the head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, Dn.y., who suggests that she was enriched with stocks during her almost three decades in Washington.
The majority striker PAC, a political action committee which is affiliated with the majority of the Schumer PAC Senate, launched an advertising campaign of $ 700,000 against Collins, who plans an offer for a sixth term in the Senate, but has not yet officially launched his campaign.
The pair of ads, a 30 seconds Spot entitled “Greed”, the other has 15 seconds Spot entitled “This life”, target Collins for his opposition to a prohibition to negotiate the actions of the Congress by Senator Josh Hawley, R-MO. However, his office argued that thanks to images of private jets and collins in glamorous outfit, the advertisements suggested that she was personally enriched by the professions while working as a legislator.

Advertisements accuse Collins of “the worst type of greed; using initiate information to exchange actions ”.
“It is opposed to a bipartite bill which would prohibit the members of the Congress from negotiating actions,” said the narrator. “Our representatives should serve the inhabitants of Maine, not on their own pockets.”

“Senator Collins has never bought, sold or owned actions during his entire Senate mandate,” his office told Fox News Digital. “Tom Daffron’s investment decisions are taken exclusively by a third -party advisor without his consultation. No individual shares have been purchased or sold on his account for almost three years.”
The majority spokesperson, Lauren French, retaliated in a declaration to Fox News Digital that advertisements are dealing with Collins “for her refusal to support a prohibition to negotiate actions for members of the Congress and their families – bipartite legislation that 95% of the Mainers support”.
“Nowhere in the announcement, he does not say that Senator Collins buys, sells regularly or has actions (although her husband does it) – but if she is always confused, we will be happy to continue to disseminate throughout Maine so that she and her voters can understand how her opposition at the end of stock exchanges allowed her colleagues to benefit from their power position,” said French.

The Democrats of the Senate hope that their precious candidate, Governor Janet Mills, D-Maine, jumps into the race to face Collins. However, Mills, which is limited to term, did not make an official announcement on its plans and the Democratic primary quickly became crowded.
Collins said to Bangor Daily News that she did not support Hawley’s bill last month, and rather argued that there should be more application of the already existing rules which prevent the members of the initiate.

Collins is not a member of this committee.
