The sorrow mingled with the resolution on Sunday afternoon while friends, family and conservatives have gathered in a crowded state of state in Arizona to honor the life of Charlie Kirk.
From emotional tributes to playful stories, spiritual calls and political promises, here are the best moments of its commemorative service:
1. President Donald Trump calls Charlie Kirk a “martyr for American freedom”

President Donald Trump concluded Kirk’s commemorative service with remarks honoring the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), intertwining the themes of politics and Christianity.
“Our greatest evangelist for American Liberty has become immortal,” said Trump about Kirk. “It’s a martyr for American freedom”, “
The president credited Kirk for helping him win the 2024 elections by inspiring young voters across the country.

Trump also described the moment when his staff told him that Kirk had been shot in a TPUSA event. He said he was in the middle of a meeting at the oval office and called the “surreal” revelation.

“He didn’t deserve this and our country did not deserve it,” said Trump, adding that Kirk’s assassination was an attack on American democracy.
Trump survived two assassination attempts.
The president declared that he would soon honor Kirk at the White House with the presidential medal of freedom, the greatest civil honor of the country. After his remarks, he shared the scene with the widow of Kirk, Erika, and hugged her while “America the Beautiful” played through the stadium.

Kirk’s widow Erika received a standing ovation before her speech honoring the heritage of her late husband. She mentioned the scriptures during her remarks and called her husband as “My Charlie” and her death as a “total surrender” to the “will of God”.
As she wiped tears, Kirk shared with the crowd what she experienced in the hours that followed her death. “I saw the injury that ended his life,” said Kirk, adding that she had experienced “a level of sorrow that I did not even know existing”.

Kirk, who was exploited to direct Tpusa, said that the death of her husband had sparked a renewal of the faith. She galvanized the public to go to church and reconnect with Christ.
“Being a follower of Christ is not easy, it is not supposed to be the being,” said Kirk, adding that she was forgiving the man who took the life of her husband.
“I forgive him because that’s what Christ did,” she said behind heavy tears.
Kirk, who is the mother of two young children, said that she would miss her husband.
“I will miss it because our wedding and our family were beautiful,” she said, adding, “and it’s always the case.”
3. A crowd of who is high -level political figures

In addition to TPUSA leaders, conservative media giants and religious leaders, Kirk’s commemorative service also included tributes from several senior officials of the Trump administration.
vice-president Jd vance Credited Kirk, in part, for its current role in the Trump administration and promised to support the Tpusa movement.
“You ran a good race, my friend, I love you,” said Vance. “We have it from here.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Health and Social Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and the director of national intelligence Tuli Gabbard were among some of Trump’s offices who spoke to the commemorative service.

Internal security secretary, Kristi Noem, the agricultural secretary Brooke Rollins, the work secretary Lori Chavez-Deremer, the attorney general Pam Bondi, the chief of staff Stephen Miller, the deputy director of the FBI Dan Bongino, the administrator of the environmental protection agency, Lee Zeldin and Kelly Loeffler, also in the field.
In addition, the Tesla billionaire and the CEO of space X Elon Musk was seen sitting next to Trump during part of the commemorative service.
4. Frank Turek shares a first -hand report from Kirk’s latest moments

The Christian author Frank Turek told the testimony of Kirk’s last moments on the way to the hospital after the September 10 shootout at the University of Utah Valley.
“Charlie was like a son for me,” he said, noting that he was only a few meters away when Kirk was murdered.

“No father would take a step back and leave, no, you just take my son. I take it. I will meet you in the hospital. I entered the back of the SUV,” he said. “Charlie is so large, we cannot close the door,” said Turek, adding that the security team Tpusa led “to the hospital with the open door.”
He said that during the car trip, he continued to shout: “Come on, Charlie! Come on!” He said he looked at Kirk when he realized that the 31 -year -old husband and father died.

“His eyes were fixed,” said Turek. “He didn’t look at me. He looked at me beyond eternity. He was already with Jesus. He was killed instantly and had absolutely no pain.”
5. Tens of thousands of people in one of the greatest public services ever held

About 90,000 people gathered for Kirk’s commemorative service, Tpusa confirmed to Fox News Digital.
About 70,000 people in mourning filled the State Farm stadium with full capacity, while 10,000 others joined overflow places, including Desert Diamond Arena and other vision points nearby.
The participation rate has marked one of the greatest public commemorative services in recent years.
