The president of the surveillance committee and the reform of the government James Comer, R-Ky., Published Anthony Bernal, former assistant of the president and principal advisor of the First Lady on Thursday, to appear for a deposition of July 16.
This is part of the investigation of the Committee on the alleged concealment of the mental decline of former President Joe Biden and potentially unauthorized executive actions.
Bernal had confirmed his appearance for a voluntary interview transcribed on June 26, but after the office of the lawyer of the White House informed him that she referred the executive privilege of the survey of the supervisory committee, he refused to appear.
“Given your close link with the former president Biden and the former First Lady Jill Biden, the committee sought to understand if you have contributed to an effort to hide the physical condition of the former Biden president to serve the American people,” wrote Comer in a letter to Bernal on Thursday with the attached assignment. “You have refused the committee’s request. However, to advance the surveillance and responsibilities and the interests of the committee, your testimony is essential.”

Commer said that the Committee “is looking for information on your assessment and your relations with the former president Biden to explore if the time has come to make the congress returned to potential legislation to combat the supervision of the presidents to serve in accordance with its authority under article 4 of the twenty-fifth amendment or to propose changes to the twenty-fifth amendment.”
Bernal is one of the five former senior advisers who, Commer, said “were eyewitnesses of the state and operations of President Biden at the Blanche de Biden”.
The committee has already assigned the doctor of Biden, Kevin O’Connor, as part of his investigation, and he should give a deposit on camera on July 9.
Another former assistant of the White House, Neera Tanden, agreed to comply and voluntarily testified on Tuesday five o’clock in camera.

Tanden, former director of the Biden National Policy Council, told the committee that she was authorized to direct the automotive signatures but was not aware of who in the interior circle of the president gave him a final authorization, a familiar source with the case told Fox News Digital. She would also have vehemently denied that there was a concealment of the mental state of Biden.
The Committee also requests testimonies from former superior assistants from the White House Annie Tomasini and Ashley Williams. They agreed to appear voluntarily for the testimonies planned for next month.
“They must appear before the chamber’s supervisory committee and provide truthful responses to the cognitive state of President Biden and who called the gunshots,” said Comer about the five earlier this month.

In addition to the chamber’s investigation, President Donald Trump earlier this month ordered his administration to investigate Biden’s actions as president, saying that aid has masked the “cognitive decline” of the 46th president. Biden answered in a written statement: “Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency. I made the decisions concerning the pardons, the decrees, the legislation and the proclamations. Any suggestion that I did not do it is ridiculous and false.”
In a memo describing the investigation, Trump said: “This conspiracy marks one of the most dangerous and most concerned scandals.”

“The American public was deliberately thrown from the discovery which exercised the executive power, while being the signing of Biden, it was deployed on thousands of documents to make changes in radical policy,” he added.
