The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs castigated the Democratic candidate at town hall Zohran Mamdani on the second anniversary of the terrorist attacks on October 7, after having marked this day with a criticism of Israel and the United States and calling for ending what he described as “occupation and apartheid”.
“Two years after Hamas launched its barbaric massacre against Israel and the Jewish people, Mamdani chose to act as a spokesperson for Hamas propaganda, broadcasting the false genocide campaign of Hamas,” the ministry wrote.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “by repeating the lies of Hamas, it excuses terrorism and normalizes anti -Semitism”.

“He stands alongside the Jews only when they are dead. Shameful,” added the ministry.
Fox News Digital contacted Mamdani’s campaign for comments, but did not immediately receive an answer.
In his statement, Mamdani recognized that “two years ago today, Hamas committed a horrible war crime, killing more than 1,100 Israelis and by kidnapping 250 others”.
He wrote: “I cry these lives and pray for the return healthy and except for each hostage. »»
“Existential threat”: Jewish leaders warn a “massive exodus” in Nyc if Zohran Mamdani wins in November

At the same time, Mamdani also criticized Israel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for having “launched a genocidal war” with a death toll which, according to him, “far exceeds 67,000: the Israeli army bombarding houses, hospitals and schools and reducing them into rubble”.
“Each day in Gaza has become a place where the sorrow itself is no longer expressed,” wrote Mamdani, adding that “our government has been an accomplice of all this”.
Mamdani also wrote that “occupation and apartheid must stop” and that the United States “must request accountables from managers”.
“The last two years have demonstrated the worst of humanity. We must respond by giving the example of the best: an incessant pursuit of our highest ideals and an unshakable commitment in favor of universal human rights,” wrote Mamdani.
Jewish leaders and defenders criticized the socialist Zohran Mamdani, 33, since he obtained the Democratic inauguration at New York town hall, in particular for his hesitation in condemning the expression “globalizing the intifada”.

After refusing for months to condemn the anti-Israeli rallying cry which, according to American Jewish Committee, “calls on people around the world to participate in the uprising against Israel”, Mamdani told business leaders at a closed meeting in July that he would not use this slogan and that he would discourage others from using it in the future.
However, his previous assessment left many people very concerned.
“If Zohran Mamdani is elected, expect a Jewish exodus outside New York,” said Yuval David, actor, filmmaker and Jewish activist, with Fox News Digital.
In an interview with Kristen Welker, animator of “Meet The Press”, in June, Mamdani was invited to condemn this sentence three times, but he refused. He tried to justify his position by saying: “What concerns me is to start following the line of language and to specify which language I believe is allowed or prohibited, it brings me in a position similar to that of the president, who seeks to do this kind of things, put people in prison for having written an article of opinion, put them in prison for having manifested.

“In the end, it is not the language I use. It is the language, I understand that there are concerns, and what I will do is present my vision of the city through my words and my actions,” he said.

Mamdani was also criticized for supporting a series of anti-Israeli positions such as BDS support, an acronym for boycott, divestment and sanctions, and sanctions against Israel.
After Mamdani’s message on October 7, the awareness group for anti -Semitism Canary Mission also criticized him, claiming that he “condemns the lips of the Hamas” while “he” reserves much more vitriol to Israel, that he accuses of regularly perpetuating the Nakba, the occupation and the apartheid – including in his declaration of October 7 herself! “
