“More than two decades later, our nation still faces increased and scalable threats from foreign terrorist organizations and local violent extremists, and New York remains a higher terrorist target,” said Garbarino.
The Ministry of Justice Research and Technology Agency, the National Institute of Justice, determined in 2023 that New York had the greatest number of terrorist incidents attempts or real in the country.
Committee members led legislation to combat these persistent terrorist threats.
