The GOP senator challenges Democrats on Jeffrey Epstein files transparency

First on Fox: A republican of the Senate wants to see all the court documents linked to the sexual offender sentenced, failing that Jeffrey Epstein not sealed in order to see if the Democrats are serious about the light on the situation.

Senator Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., Plans to present a resolution on Thursday that would call for the federal and state courts to “immediately which all the documents, including the great jury” which were part of any criminal investigation or pursuit of Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

Mullin’s measurement occurs while the congress was shaken by disorders and a drama surrounding the management by the Trump administration of the so-called Epstein files. Congress Democrats used the Epstein investigation and the alleged lack of transparency of the administration on the issue, as a rallying cry in the past two weeks.

The room was paralyzed by the drama of Epstein, some Republicans and Democrats unite their strengths in their calls to bring out information in the open air. House speaker Mike JohnsonR-La., Did not give in and returned the legislators to the house early.

In the Senate, Democrats also demand the immediate release of the files.

But Mullin’s resolution, although designed to offer more transparency and protect and expel any information on the victims who may appear in documents, is also supposed to see if the Democrats of the Senate are ready to put their money where their mouths are.

Last week, the senator Ruben GallegoD-Ariz., Tried to force a vote on a resolution which would also force the release of documents related to Epstein.

“If there is evidence of concealment in the Epstein case, the public has the right to know. If there is a list, the public deserves to see it and the Americans deserve to see the truth even if it is not what Donald Trump and his elite friends want,” he said in the Senate.

But Mullin blocked the move and accused Gallego engaging in the “political theater”.

He argued that if the Democrats were really serious at the idea of discovering the truth behind Epstein’s files, why didn’t they do it when former President Joe Biden was in power?

“Where were they silent, doing nothing other than covering an absent president,” he said. “And now, all of a sudden, they want to talk about transparency. Maybe you can understand who has led the White House for the past four years, and now, all of a sudden, they want to do something.”

It is also the first action of a Senate republican demanding that Epstein’s court documents are made public. And it contains with Trump management to the Attorney General Pam Bondi to “produce all the relevant testimonies of the Grand Jury”.

However, this order already struck a hung on Wednesday, when a judge appointed by former President Barack Obama rejected the request of the Ministry of Justice to unshine the court files on Epstein.
