First on the fox –THE Restoration of America Foundation (ROAF) calls on the Senate Finance Committee to hold the Secretary of Health and Social Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. responsible for the hearing on Thursday at 10 a.m., demanding responses on the abolition of security protocols for the abortion pill.

In a letter provided exclusively to Fox News Digital, ROAF maintains that the rollback leaves women more vulnerable and changes costs for taxpayers.

ROAF argues that the requirements withdrawing the risk assessment and attenuation strategy (REMS) of the Biden era (REMS), guarantee in place for more than two decades, endangers women by authorizing the abortion pills to be prescribed via telehantic and delivered by mail.

“The elimination of key risk assessment and attenuation strategy (REMS) for Miffepristone eliminated the essential guarantees that protected women’s health for more than two decades,” said Doug Truax, founder and CEO of the Restoration of America Foundation. “We urge the Senate to demand clear answers on the reasons why these security protocols have been deleted and when they are reintegrated.”

The Food and Drug Administration was the origin of mifepristone to distribute in person to ensure that women were detected for potential complications such as extra-uterine pregnancy. This changed under the Biden administration, when the prescription of Télésanté and the mail order delivery were authorized for the first time.

Truax warned that “allowing these powerful drugs to be ordered online and sent by mail without appropriate medical screening endangers”. He added: “Women deserve to know the potential complications and have immediate access to emergency care if necessary.”

ROAF highlights recent studies and media reports, including a New York post-York investigation Published in April, which revealed that almost 11% of chemical abortions led to serious complications such as hemorrhage, infection or sepsis. This rate is more than 20 times higher than what the FDA previously cited.
