Former Florida House President Paul Renner, a Republican, launched an offer from Sunshine State Governor on Wednesday, who jumped in the race after President Donald Trump supported the American representative Byron Donalds for the post earlier this year.

“As a legislator and lecturer of the Chamber, I stayed with Ron Desantis to mark our state the free state of Florida,” said RENNER in social media publications. “I run for the governor so that when the Desantis era ends, we can defend our victories and solve the challenges that remain.”

Florida Governor Ron Desantis, who is serving his second consecutive term and is therefore not authorized to be elected again in 2026, said that he did not argue, noting: “I think it was a badly informed decision to enter the race.”

Renner added in his posts: “As a military veteran of two wars, state prosecutor and president of the chamber, I fought difficult battles, and I will never stop the fight for our conservative values. As a father, I am determined to secure the security and prosperity of Florida for the next generation.”
