AOC voters weigh on the presidential race, remember its superb 2018 political upheaval
Ocasio -Cortez was born in the Bronx but moved to Yorktown – which is almost an hour outside New York – when she was 5 years old and continued to frequent the High School Yorktown, from where she graduated in 2007.
She was considered a student completed there and well thought out by teacher Michael Blueglass, according to a 2018 MEDIA Outlet report Halston Media News.
“There, known by students and staff as” Sandy “, she was a member of the scientific research program taught by Michael Blueglass,” said the report.
“She was incredible,” said Blueglass, according to the report. “In addition to winning one of the best places and going to the (International Science and Engineering Fair), it was only one of the most amazing presenters of all the years I was in Yorktown. Its ability to take complex information and explain it at all levels of people was fantastic.”
After high school, Ocasio-Cortez attended the University of Boston, where she specialized in economics and international relations, according to the report.
The nickname “Sandy” by Ocasio -Cortez – which carries a more suburban and preppy tone – seems to undermine its politically designed image as a hard fighter and the city center, which she described since her famous 2018 congress campaign, where she finally overthrew the former man of the 10 -year -old Congress Joe Crowley.

AOC, Dems called “hypocrites” for dismissal speeches that have followed strikes on Iranian nuclear sites
New York GOP deputy Matt Slater, who now represents Yorktown, added to the meticulous personality examination of Ocasio-Cortez following his brush with Trump and published Ocasio-Cortez images of his high school directory. He said he and the rising democratic star attended the High School Yorktown at the same time when she was a first -year student and he was senior.
“I saw the attacks on the president and Son (Ocasio-Cortez) says that she is a big daughter of the hard Bronx,” said Slater. “Sitting there and saying that she is a daughter of the Bronx is simply ridiculous.”
“Everyone in our community knows that it is just a daring lie,” said Slater on “Fox & Friends First” last week. “She grew up in Yorktown, she was part of my track team.”
“She lies on her history, she lies on her education,” said Slater.

The Slater post sent social media on fire and encouraged Ocasio-Cortez to answer after an image of his family’s house in Yorktown was published online.
“I am proud of the way I grew up and talk about it all the time,” wrote Ocasio-Cortez on Friday, responding to the position. “My mother cleaned the houses and I helped. We cleaned the tutor’s houses in exchange for the SAT preparation.”
“Growing up between the Bronx and Yorktown has deeply shaped my views of inequality and that is a great reason why I believe the things I do today!”
