The former assistant of Biden Ronald Klain arrives for a house survey on the mental form of Biden

A former senior administration in Biden arrived in Capitol Hill on Thursday in camera with the room investigators.
Ronald Klain was chief of staff of former president Joe Biden in the first half of his mandate, from the start of his mandate in January 2021 until the beginning of February 2023.
He did not answer questions shouted journalists before disappearing for his voluntary interview transcribed with the House’s supervisory committee.

Biden argued that he had “made each decision” in a recent interview with The New York Times.
Klain is the sixth former head of the Chamber to appear as part of the Commer probe, and the third to appear in voluntary terms.
The former doctor of the White House Kevin O’Connor, as well as the main advisers Annie Tomasini and Anthony Bernal, all appeared under assignment.
Everyone also pleaded the fifth amendment to avoid answering questions.

The former secretary of the establishment Neera Tanden and the longtime advisor of Biden, Ashley Williams, both appeared for volunteer transcribed interviews, such as Klain.
Their two interviews lasted more than four hours, although the investigators of the House GOP seem to have gleaned little new information.
Before being a chief of staff of Biden, Klain worked in the same quality when the Delaware Democrat was vice-president during the Obama administration.
He was also one of the main advisers of the Biden presidential campaign in 2020.
The most critical for investigators is perhaps the leading role that Klain would have played in the preparation of Biden for his disastrous debate in June 2024 against present-president Donald Trump.

Representative Eric Burlison, R-MO., Member of the supervisory committee, shared some of the information he hoped to be gleaned from Klain’s Sitdown.
“Have you ever seen a question of cognitive capacity to the president? Was you not making these decisions? Was he directed?” Burlison asked.
