Andrew Bates, who was assistant press secretary of the White House and worked in Biden’s communications shop during almost all his mandate, said that the reactions to Biden’s debate against Donald Trump were “exaggerated”, according to a familiar source with his interview.

Bates “finally agreed with President Biden’s decision to abandon” after watching the survey data the week that Biden made his choice to delete his re -election offer, said the source.

A source close to Bates, however, said that after having had time to deal with Biden’s decision and a change in public survey during the last week of Biden’s candidacy, he agreed that Biden had made the right decision to withdraw.

He rejected the concerns about the age of Biden as a “survey problem”, and has struck the concerns of the Americans concerning his age and his capacities as the product of the consumer media and right -wing criticism, according to the first source, similar to the previous allies of Biden in their interviews with closed doors.

The former spokesperson also described relatively rare interactions with Biden and said that Biden has only met his press team sometimes in a year.

“He would see President Biden in person a little more once a month, but it could be something to travel, go with him to the hill or just see him in the corridor,” said the first source.

During his declaration of opening, obtained by Fox News Digital, Bates defended Biden’s physical condition to criticize Trump’s actions as president.

This is completely coherent with my personal experience with the president,” Bates to the room investigators, another source told the investigators.
