A federal judge prevented the Trump administration on Monday from enforcing part of a massive tax and expenditure bill that would block the funding of Medicaid for Planned Parenthood health centers.

The temporary prohibition order of judge Indira Talwani in the Massachusetts blocked the provision of the “large and beautiful bill” to finance the family planning supplier.

The cause is the provision of the new bill on taxes and expenses that was promulgated by President Donald Trump on July 4, which eliminates a year of Medicaid payments from Planned Parenthood health centers because the organization also provides abortions.

A White House official told Fox News Digital that the Trump administration is committed to ending the use of dollars of federal taxpayers to finance or promote elective abortions. The manager noted that the position of the administration is a common sense position with which the overwhelming majority of the Americans agree.

Monday, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, La Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts and Planned Parenthood Association of Utah filed a complaint before the Federal Court.

“The prohibition specifically targets Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its health care providers of members in order to punish them for a lawful activity, namely to plead and provide access to legal abortion entirely outside the Medicaid program and without using federal funds,” said the trial.

If it is authorized to stand, Planned Parenthood said that the provision would have “devastating consequences” for the more than a million patients who use Medicaid as insurance in Planned Parenthood health centers across the country to obtain birth control and cancer screening, among other services.

Dominique Lee, president and chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, said that the organization had a long history of struggle for sexual and reproductive freedom.

“The ambitions of the hell of the Trump administration to close our clinics and abandon our patients will not stop us. Allow me to be clear: we are not intimidated. We have been built for this moment,” she said. “Here, in the Massachusetts, we retaliate, and we will never be intimidated to turn our back on health care or human rights.”
