A federal judge appointed by Biden suddenly prevented the Trump administration from traveling hundreds of illegal foreign children during the labor day weekend after immigrant defense groups rushed to court, saying Trump was making a mass expulsion in night death.

The emergency ordinance of the American district judge Sparkle Sooknanan froze a pilot program which said that the administration would bring together nearly 700 children with parents or tutors in Guatemala.

As the judge intervened, the charter buses had already taken over the planes of Harlingen and El Paso and, in some cases, children were seated on board while waiting for departure.

The lawyer for the Ministry of Justice Drew Ensign declared in court: “These are not moves under the law. These are repatriations. All these children have parents or tutors in Guatemala who asked for their return.”

Defense groups have rejected this explanation, Efrén Olivares of the National Immigration Law Center (NILC), which withdraws that “it is a dark and dangerous moment when our government chooses to target orphaned children of 10 years”.

The trial, LGML c. Noem, was filed just after 1 a.m. on Sunday, accusing the Trump administration of bypassing a 2008 law that immigrant rights groups often cite to protect minors from withdrawal.

The prosecutor general of the defendants was appointed Pam Bondi, the secretary of the Ministry of Internal Security, Kristi Noem, the secretary of health and social services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The main plaintiff was a 10 -year -old girl identified only by her initials whose mother died in Guatemala. Judge Sooknanan reprimanded the Trump administration on the calendar, affirming during the emergency hearing: “I have the government who tries to withdraw minor children in the country in the morning hours of a vacation weekend, which is surprising, but we are there.”

The Trump administration insists that thefts were legitimate meetings negotiated with the Government of Guatemala, while the advocacy argues that children are rushed without audiences or the possibility of continuing asylum.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala confirmed that the country was ready to take the children, President Bernardo Arévalo calls him a “moral and legal obligation”.

Unaccompanied children who arrive illegally in the United States are often handed over to the HHS (Orr) refugee resettlement office while their immigration cases are prepared. Those of Guatemala often ask asylum to stay in America.

For the moment, hundreds of Guatemah minors remain in the United States while the legal battle takes place. According to Reports of the Associated PressFamily members of many migrants had gathered at airports of the Nation of Central America in anticipation of their arrival.
