First on Fox: The FBI has launched criminal investigations into three children’s hospitals after commitments from the Attorney General Pam Bondi that the Trump administration would apply federal laws which prohibit female genital mutilation to protect children from often irreversible sexual surgery.

The surveys target suppliers who work at the Boston children’s hospital, the Colorado children’s hospital and the Los Angeles children’s hospital, according to a familiar source with the investigation that spoke at Fox News Digital under the cover of anonymity. These hospitals have been among the main suppliers of sex change procedures for minors in America in recent years, according to the source.

Only a few days after their entry into office, President Donald Trump published an executive decree ordering all federal agencies to work to end the ability of children under the age of 18, to receive “irreversible medical interventions” as the treatment of dysphoria between the sexes. Part of this effort included the Attorney General Bondi issuing a memorandum several weeks later, ordering the staff of the Ministry of Justice to enforce 18 USC § 116, which is a federal law which makes female genital mutilation against the law.

“I put doctors, hospitals and clinics in opinion: in the United States, it is a crime to carry out, try to do or conspire to perform female genital mutilation (” MGF “) on anyone under 18,” said the leaping. “This crime has a maximum prison sentence of 10 years per charm. I ask all American lawyers to investigate all the alleged cases of MGF – under the banner of so -called” affirmative care “or otherwise – and to continue all FGM offenses as far as possible.”

Bondi also said in the note that the Ministry of Justice would launch a new coalition against children’s mutilation, which would associate with general partners with attorney general to build cases against hospitals and practitioners violating federal laws or states prohibiting female genital mutilation. The memo added that the Bureau of Legislative Affairs of the Ministry of Justice writes legislation establishing a private right of action for children and parents of children “whose health parts have been damaged by health professionals through chemical and surgical mutilation” so that they can hold hospitals and retroactively responsible suppliers.
