The Democrat representative of the Democratic Governor of New Jersey, Mikie Sherrill, says that his republican rival Jack Ciattarelli takes place in a “witch hunt” on his poorly released military archives, which raised questions about his possible implication in a cheating scandal that rocked the US Naval Academy three decades ago.

“He was taken with his hand in the cookie pot, if you want. He is now trying to divert from that,” Sherrill told journalists on Tuesday after a campaign event at Wildwood Crest, New Jersey.

The battle combustion bullette in New JerseyWhich is one of the only two elections for the governor across the country this year, was shaken last week after a report by New Jersey Globe revealed that Sherrill’s military files said that United States Naval Academy prevented it from participating in its 1994 diploma in the middle of the cheating scandal.

Ciattarelli and his campaign call Sherrill, who continued to pilot helicopters during his military career after graduating from the Naval Academy, to release her military files to explain why she was prevented from attending her graduation ceremony.

“What we have learned today is that it was part of it in a way or a form or a form. Come cleanse, release the files. Tell us what is in your disciplinary files. I think that the inhabitants of New Jersey deserve it,” said Ciattarelli in an interview on an interview on an interview on an interview on an interview on an interview “Hannity” by Fox News.

But a distinct report by CBS News revealed that the National Personal Records Center, which is a branch of the National Archives and Records Administration, has mistakenly published the files of inappropriate military personnel from Sherrill, which included private information such as its social security number, to an ally Ciattarelli.

The news stimulated calls by the best democrats across the country for an investigation.

The national archives, in a letter last week, apologized to Sherrill, saying that the inappropriate liberation was due to the error of a government worker concerning a request for legal files.

Following the violation of the files, the Sherrill’s campaign sent letters of ceasefinitors to the national archives and the Ciattarelli campaign, as well as the main strategist of Ciattarelli, Chris Russell and Nicholas de Gregorio, which is described by the Sherrill team as “a campaign agent working in the direction of” Russell.

The Sherrill campaign launched a digital ad By targeting Ciattarelli.

“They broke the law to attack a veteran,” accused the narrator of the place.

On Tuesday, Sherrill reiterated that “Ciattarelli’s campaign was legally requested to return these files”.

Trump looms this crucial race for the governor

On Friday, the Ciattarelli campaign, in a letter, rejected the claims of the Sherrill campaign and the best democrats who pressure the administration and the Republicans of President Donald Trump could be behind the wandering statement.

The Ciattarelli campaign accused that Sherrill “tried to distract the attention of this fact with false accusations and half-truths about what is equivalent to an error of office by the national archives of which they took responsibility and to apologize for the public”.

Tuesday, responding to Sherrill’s comments, Russell told Fox News Digital that “calling him a witch hunt is absurd. It is a question of going to the bottom of what she did or did not do to the Academy which earned her an incredibly serious punishment.”

And Ciattarelli’s best strategist argued that “her story that she simply did not make up for friends is probably a bunch of bulls, and she knows and we want to know exactly what she said the investigators.

Sherrill, who was never accused of having cheated in the scandal, said last week that “there was a school test that had been stolen. I did not know that it had been stolen. I passed the test afterwards. I knew what the rumor mill was. I knew people who were involved.”

“I did not present this information, and when I was asked, I gave all the information I had, but as I mentioned, I come from an incredibly responsible place, so I did not work,” she added. “And as I said, I am happy to be responsible for all of you and to be transparent.”

Questioned by journalists on Tuesday, why she would not publish the files, Sherrill said: “I think the reason why I have not published them publicly, they display many medals and medals. So I think my story.”

“They show my naval academy diploma, they show my commissioning, they show my service medals, they show the service record that I have,” she added.

And pointing to Ciattarelli, she accused that “instead of returning the files he obtained illegally, and that the archives, by the Trump administration, illegally released, he tries to do another witch hunt, and I will certainly not allow him to take shelter from the archives of my classmates of the Naval Academy.”
