We do not know if Senator Alex Padilla, D-Calif., Will face federal accusations from the Ministry of Justice after interrupting a press conference that the secretary of the Department of Internal Security Kristi Noem held in Los Angeles on June 12.

“No comments here,” a spokesperson for the Doj said on Wednesday afternoon when he was asked if the ministry planned to file a complaint against the Democratic senator.

“Senator Padella has chosen an disrespectful political theater and interrupted a live press conference without identifying or having his Senate security pin while he rushed to secretary Noem. Mr. Padilla was invited to retreat several times and did not be satisfied with the repeated orders of the officers,” tweeted several times after the incident. (Secret Services) thought he was an attacker and that the officers had acted appropriately. “”

“I pray that you never have a moment like this,” he added. On Tuesday, the Democratic Caucus of the Senate wrote a letter to Noem criticizing how the police managed the situation.

Despite the incident, Padilla and Noem ended up holding a meeting thereafter, which Padilla’s office described as “civil”, and Noem described as “cordial” even if there were strong disagreements between the two.

The senator told the “union” of CNN that he had been escorted in the room by the National Guard and the FBI, while he was taking another meeting in the same building where Noem held his press conference.

The secretary was in Los Angeles to address anti-glossy demonstrations and riots that took place in the city while the federal authorities have made efforts to apply the law in the region. Fox News Digital contacted Padilla’s office to see if he had been contacted by the Doj.

However, Padilla is far from being the only one to have made waves to protest against the ice and the DHS. Representative Lamonica McIiver, DN.J., was charged to the Federal Court on Wednesday to have allegedly “the stack of the mismanagement and an interfering with the federal officers” during a demonstration outside the ease of federal immigration of Delaney Hall in Newark on May 9. The mayor of Newark Ras Baraka was also arrested during the May 9 protest on a loan accusation which was then filed.

In New York, the controller and candidate for the Democrat Town Hall Brad Lander was arrested and released for allegedly “assaulted the police and hindered a federal officer,” said the DHS last week. He retained an individual that the authorities of the Immigration Court were trying to take custody, according to the Associated Press.

The DHS said last week that ICE agents face a 500% increase in attacks, such as the opposition to the Trump administration immigration continues.
