The former doctor of the White House, Kevin O’Connor, who was a doctor of former president Joe Biden, asked for his next testimony to the chamber’s supervisory committee this week.
O’Connor was to testify on Wednesday, but now disagrees with the committee on the scope of the questions to which he should answer during his testimony. The committee, led by President James Comer, R-Ky., Questions the doctor as part of his investigation into the mental form of Biden and the use by his administration of an autopen.
An O’Connor lawyer asked that the testimony be delayed until July 28 or on August 4 in a letter to Commer.
“Dr. O’Connor has legal and ethical obligations which he must meet and for which violations have serious professional and personally consequences,” said the letter.

“We ignore any previous occasion to which a Congress Committee assigned a doctor to testify on the treatment of an individual patient. And the idea that a Congress Committee would do it without any regard for the confidentiality of the doctor-patient relationship.”
A spokesperson for the supervisory committee responded in a statement to NBC News that O’Connor and his legal team were simply trying to “Stonewall” the process.
The committee said O’Connor was invited to oppose individual issues during his testimony. But O’Connor is not authorized, in the opinion of the Committee, to delay or to refuse an assignment to the Congress due to concerns concerning questions on potentially privileged information.

The debate on the testimony of O’Connor occurs for weeks after a former high -level assistant in Biden, Neera Tanden, told the supervisory committee that she was authorized to direct the automotive signatures but was not aware of who in the interior circle of the president gave him a final authorization.
During the Tanden interview before the congress last month, which lasted more than five hours, she told legislators that, in her role as staff secretary and main advisor of the former president between 2021 and 2023, she was authorized to direct Fox News to direct the automotive signatures of Biden of Biden, told Fox News.

“Ms. Tanden testified that she had a minimum interaction with President Biden, despite the fact that the fact of approving huge authority,” said Commer at the time. “She explained that to obtain the approval of the automatic signatures, she would send decision -making memos to the members of the President’s inner circle and had no visibility on what happened between sending the note and receiving it with approval. Her testimony raises serious questions about who really called the shots to the Bide White House in the middle of the obvious decline of the President. We will continue to continue the truth for the American people.” “.
