The DHS stops gang members and drug traffickers at Chicago Operation Midway Blitz

Immigration and customs (ICE) and customs and customs protection agents (CBP) stopped a multitude of Chicago offenders, offenders from the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Chicago announced on Monday.
The declaration came while violence and the troubles engulfed parts of the city which suffers from the violence of the street and protests against federal operations.
The series of arrests, said the DHS, targeted members of violent gangs, children’s attackers and drug traffickers in operation Midway Blitz, a continuous repression of criminal illegal immigrants in Illinois.

The DHS press release, entitled “Despite several vehicle attacks by domestic terrorists, the DHS police arrested the worst of the worst”, listed several suspects placed in police custody.
Among them, Wilmer Alexander Gonzalez Garaban, an alleged member of the Gang Tren of Aragua from Venezuela with criminal flight history and resistant to an officer.
Ricardo Gervasio-Gervasio was included as a repeat offender guilty of crimes linked to drugs and Dui.
Jorge Mario Ramirez-Lopez, an illegal criminal immigrant from Guatemala, was also listed and was sentenced to flight.
Ricardo Gervasio-Gervasio, of Mexico, who has condemnations for possession of cocaine, leading under the influence of alcohol and dangerous drugs was also referenced.
Officials have cited other people who have been apprehended for assault, fraud, illegal reintegration and serious assault.

Jorge Mario Ramirez-Lopez, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, who has a conviction for theft.
Secretary Kristi Noem praised the agents and the persistence of officers in the press release and said their efforts were despite violent resistance.
“We will not leave the violence by domestic terrorists and the unreachable rioters in Chicago slowing us down to fulfill the president’s mandate to arrest the worst of the worst,” said Noem.
DHS claims that operation Midway Blitz, launched in early September, has already led to more than 1,000 arrests throughout the state, representing a major escalation of the federal application.
One of the most dramatic incidents occurred on October 4 in the Brighton Park district of Chicago, where agents were surrounded by several vehicles, one of which struck a federal car.

Pedro Navajas-Contreras, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, who condemned three previous convictions for conduct under the influence.
In chaos, the agents opened fire, hitting a driver who was hospitalized and accused later.
In a separate case in Franklin Park, ice agents killed Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez, who said that the authorities tried to flee and dragged an officer during a vehicle stop.

The murder triggered new outrage and demonstrations, the activists questioning the proportionality of the actions of the agents.
