Sanders’ push finally failed at the end of last month, but more than half of all the Senate Democrats voted by his side, with a lot of votes with him for the first time. Meanwhile, all the Senate Republicans voted against them.
“The tide turns,” said Sanders, who regularly has caucus with the Democrats, in a statement. “The American people do not want to spend billions to starve children in Gaza. Democrats are advancing on this issue, and I look forward to republican support in the near future.”
Bringing the Republicans on board for future attempts, as Sanders hoped that it would happen, is at best a section.
“The Republicans resist Israel,” the president of the Senate’s foreign relations committee, Jim Risch, R-Idaho, in a statement.
“The resolution of Senator Sanders to block sales of arms would have restored the failed policies of the Biden administration and abandon the ally closest to America in the Middle East,” he continued. “We cannot afford to go back.”

But the change within the Democratic Caucus was probably stimulated by the release of photos of hungry children in the Gaza Strip, which obtained shocked reactions from the legislators and President Donald Trump.
Many Democrats have blamed Israel and argued that the Jewish state had put a strict on the aid intended for civilians in Gaza, while the Republicans argue that the Hamas terrorist organization steals food.
“What is happening is unacceptable, and Israel has the power to repair it”, Sen. Angus KingI-Maine, told Fox News Digital.
Like Sanders, King is generally Caucus with the Democrats of the Senate. But unlike his independent colleague, he regularly stood firm in his support for Israel. But the photos and reports of general malnutrition prompted him to vote to block sales of arms.
“Israel is the one who does not let help enter,” he said. “The humanitarian response is entirely in the hands of Israel, and they blocked, slowed down, started and stopped, to the point where I could not silence myself.”
And like King, Senator Jean Shaheen, the first classification democrat of the senatorial committee of foreign relations, changed CAP and voted in favor of blocking sales of arms by concern that food aid was not making his way to the Palestinians.
“I think it is important to send the message to Prime Minister (Benjamin) Netanyahu and his government that things have to change,” said New Hampshire Democrat in an interview with PBS Newshour.

But the Republicans accused that it was not the fault of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that food aid was not making its way to Gaza and rather believed that Hamas stolen food.
Senator John KennedyR-La., Said that Israel wanted to make sure that food aid is really accompanied by civilians in Hamas.
“Israel and the United States cut, cut most of Hamas’ cash flows,” said Kennedy. “And a large part of their cash flows depends on the theft of food and the sale, sometimes in their own people, absorbing prices.”
And all the Senate Democrats are not on the same wavelength regarding their position on the Jewish State.

Senator John Fetterman, D-P., Systematically criticized the Democrats for having criticized Israel and thought that his party was moving away from his position.
“What I really believe fundamentally, there was a change of big, even within my party, to blame Israel for the situations and circumstances overall,” Fox News Digital told Fox. “And I don’t really understand. It’s like we’ve seen the same photos and, of course, what happened in Gaza is devastating.”
“But therefore, for me, I blame Hamas and Iran,” he continued. “And I don’t know why there is not like a collective world indignation.”
