Tensions boiled in Texas Capitol Thursday evening, when a Democratic Congress candidate was withdrawn and arrested by a volatile redistribution audience.

Isaiah Martin, who presents himself for the 18th district of the Houston Congress, challenged repeated warnings to cease speaking after a testimony accusing the Republicans of fueling the redistribution process to appease President Donald Trump.

Images of the hearing show that Martin collapses while he was taken from the play by the authorities.

“History will not remember you for what you have done! It’s a shame!” He yelled, causing audible dressings in the crowd. He was accused of having resisted the arrest, of criminal intrusion and of disturbing a public meeting.

Martin was released of Travis County prison on Friday and all the charges were abandoned. He then published a video on X thanking the supporters and undertaking to continue to express themselves.

Martin began his testimony on Thursday by contesting the legitimacy of the hearing.

“It seems that many are sitting here to follow their movements, and it makes sense because the game is rigged,” he said.

He then accused the Texas Republicans of Gerrymandering at the request of Trump.

“You have to get Trump’s approval. This is the name of the game to be a republican these days,” said Martin. “Trump told each of you that he needed five seats. … But the real conversation we should have … is that there will be reprisals for that.”

Martin quoted the blue states which he claimed to restart the cards in response.

“Governor Kathy Hochul said she would serve as Republicans,” he said. “The same will happen in New Jersey.”

Martin also attacked Texas leadership on economic issues.

“We live in an unaffordable state … Land taxes are increasing … Despite the fact that you, the Republicans, have been in office for almost 30 consecutive years,” he said.

Criticizing the moment of the redistribution process, he added: “After one of the worst mass mass events in the history of our state, you choose to go and gerrymate the people of their sieges.”

Representative Cody Vasut, president of the Rediscovement Committee of the Chamber, tried to resume the order, but Martin refused to yield.

“No, I’m not going to end up. Because I’m … I’m not finished!”

Martin then turned his anger to Trump.

“You can thank your failure, senile, dilapidated and sharing Epstein with the president for all the work we are about to do to each of you,” he said. “You did this, you caused it and that is the result of you and your work.”

Vasut asked the State House sergeants to withdraw Martin. While Martin was dragged by the play, the public members shouted: “Get out of him!”

Martin continued to shout: “America will get up against you!”

The committee resumed without commenting on the disruption.

In a letter of July 7 cited by Dallas examinerThe Ministry of Justice reported the TX-18 as one of the four districts of the Texas Congress which can involve an unconstitutional racial gerrymandering through configurations of “coalition district”.

Trump publicly called on state legislators to obtain five additional republican house seats by redistribution.
