The DC union station considers the presence of the National Guard as part of the repression of Trump’s crime

While the national guard troops increased their presence in the national capital on Thursday, around seven national guard humve and other military vehicles, and around 25 to 30 soldiers, held custody before the DC union station.

President Donald Trump’s move to federalize parts of the Columbia district police began earlier in the week, but the national guard troops increased their presence on Thursday, with several centered around the National Mall, in metro stations, Union Station, near an American park building in Anacostia, DC and other places around the national capital.

Thursday, 800 members of the National Guard were mobilized in Washington, DC, according to the Ministry of Defense. According to Pentagon’s press secretary, Kingsley Wilson, the troops are not armed and support other federal law organizations that have been called to DC to suffocate violence there.

“The scope of support can be adjusted according to the needs of our partners,” said Wilson. “It would be very similar to the mission (Los Angeles), where we can temporarily have someone, then put them back to the police.”

At Union Station in particular, Fox News Digital had approximately 25 to 30 members of the National Guard staff, all military police, four hums and three MATV early Thursday evening.

Fox News Digital has only seen riot batons worn by the troops.

The other federal law enforcement organizations that the National Guard troops support include the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) and secret services.

Operations aimed at reducing crime in the national capital were initially focused on night patrols, but Thursday, they will start to patrol 24/7.

The increase in the presence of the police at DC led the demonstrators to take the streets, including a handful view at Union Station Thursday.

Wednesday evening, local media reports Indicated that a hundred demonstrators in a northwest of Washington, in the DC district, where the police had set up a vehicle control point, came out to challenge the increased police presence.
