A military vehicle belonging to the National Guard of DC crashed into a civil car in the Washington Capitol Hill district on Wednesday morning, Fox News Digital learned.
The accident occurs in the middle of President Donald Trump’s repression against crime in Washington. The president announced his intention on August 11 to deploy troops of the National Guard of DC and federalize the Metropolitan Police Service to combat crime in the national capital.
The Washington fire service confirmed that a military vehicle collided with a civil car and that a person had been treated for minor injuries following the accident.

“One of the two vehicles involved was a military vehicle,” said DC Fire Vito Maggiolo spokesperson in a statement to Fox News Digital. “A person had to be extracted following the accident and was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The accident took place at the 8th Street and the North Carolina Ave.”
The DC National Guard confirmed that one of its mine-resistant ambushes protected the all-terrain vehicle (MATV) was involved in the accident around 6:14, local time and that the case is investigation.
“The convoy of five vehicles and a DC metropolitan police cruiser arrested and made aid to the civilian, which was transported via” emergency medical services, the National Guard of DC said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “This is currently underway.
