The Cowboys Ring of Honor inducted Lee Roy Jordan died at 84, said the team

Dallas’ cowboys cry the loss of one of the famous defensive players in the franchise.
Lee Roy Jordan, a star assistant who played in the first winning team of the Cowboys Super Bowl in 1971, died at 84 years old.
The cowboys announced Jordan’s death on Saturday but did not provide details on the calendar or the cause of death.
Jordan played under the late Paul “Bear” Bryant during his career outside competition in Alabama. Dallas selected it in the first round of the 1963 NFL draft.

Jordan was a large part of the team “Doomsday Defense” that led the cowboys to a Super Bowl title in a 24-3 victory against Miami Dolphins during the 1971 season. He retired from the NFL in 1976. The Cowboys won their second championship the following year.
Jordan five times, Jordan was the first player induced in the Ring of Honor of the team under the property of Jerry Jones.
Jordan remains second on the list of plated of all the team’s time with 1,236. Darren Woodson, security in the Dallas teams which won three Super Bowls in the 1990s, in 1,350.

“With intrepid instincts, leadership and relentless work ethics, Jordan was the embodiment of the Cowboys spirit,” said the team. “Outside the field, his commitment to his community was the centerpiece of his life after his retirement in 1976.”

Cowboys were known as “champions next year” after the famous defeat “Ice Bowl” against Green Bay packers in 1967, when the packers won their second consecutive title in the Super Bowl II. Three years later, Dallas lost against the Baltimore colts on a last second basket in the Super Bowl.
The breakthrough finally arrived a year later with a group of secondors led by Jordan and Chuck Howley, as well as the defensive platform Bob Lilly, whose bag of 29 yards of Bob Griese was the signature game in the victory of the Super Bowl.
