He did not make many major national titles, but the decision of the Supreme Court of Wisconsin not to hear two proceedings aimed at redrawing the eight districts of the Congress of the State of the Battlefield can have a significant impact on the mid-term elections of 2026.
The liberal majority court at the end of last month, without explanation, refused to hear the challenges caused by the Democrats seeking to modify the current cards, which could have put two of the six districts of the Congress of the State currently held by Les Républicains at stake.
The decision of the highest court of Wisconsin seems to benefit the Republicans because they aim to defend their fragile majority at home in the elections of next year.

Indeed, republican representatives Derrick Van Orden in the 3rd district of the Wisconsin and Bryan Steil congress in the 1st CD – the seats of the most competitive house of the State – are probably safer without restarting the cards.
“Each seat counts in the fight for the House of Representatives when everything you need is a three -seater gain to do control, and a new Wisconsin card could have helped Democrats in at least two seats, the 1st and 3rd districts,” said Jacob Rabashkin of non -partisan political disability inside the elections.
What the chairman of the GOP campaign committee of the Chamber told Fox News the role of Trump mid-term
Rabashkin noted that “it is a setback for democrats, but certainly not insurmountable, because the party has many offensive opportunities across the country and even in Wisconsin, where we still consider the 3rd district as one of the most competitive districts. Depending on the political environment and the quality of candidates, the 1st could be as competitive, even under the current lines.”
Democrats are convinced that they can always pick up the two seats.
The elections of the Supreme Court of the Wisconsin State which made the headlines
“It is already clear that Derrick Van Orden and Bryan Steil are afraid because they cannot defend their files – whether it is their vote to reduce Medicaid while granting tax reductions to billionaires, or to their 100% support at radical rates that increase the costs of Wisconsin. Katie Smith told Fox News.

But the National Rival Congress Rival Committee (NRCC) does not agree.
“The bipartite rejection of the desperate attempt and motivated by a political motivation of the radical democrats to redraw the card in their favor offers a solid overview of how the voters of the Wisconsin will reject the off -touch and radical program of Democrats, Zach Bannon, said next year at Fox News.

Rabashkin noted that even if the Wisconsin does not change its cards, the congress district lines can be modified in other states before the middle of 2026.
“In the end, while we expect a few changes in redistribution in Ohio, Utah and potentially a few other states, the global image remains unchanged: republicans seek to lower history in an expensive Slog and on a national scale for 218 seats,” he added.
