The American immigration chief and the application of customs (ICE) leads the candidate for the town hall of New York, Zohran Mamdani, for his silence “deafening” following the shooting on Saturday evening of a customs protection agent and borders in a park in the city.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, the acting director of the ice, Todd Lyons, said: “The silence of Zohran Mamdani is not only deafening, it is deliberate, disturbing and sadly predictable.”
Lyon continued by saying that “reckless policy posts of Mamdani’s anti-law policy would endanger the legal and laws respectful of the laws”.
“His silence in the face of this brutal attack says a lot about where its priorities are, and it is not with public security and the American people,” said Lyon.

DHS assistant secretary, Tricia McLaughlin, told Fox News Digital that “the sanctuary politicians should condemn this violence and put the security of our citizens first”.
