Democratic, republican and independent candidates for the mayor of New York do not often agree on many, but they seem to be under opinion that New Yorkers want someone different from former governor Andrew Cuomo directs the Big Apple.

Zohran Mamdani and Curtis Sliwa, the Nominés Democrats and Républicains for the Mayor of New York, quickly responded to the announcement of Andrew Cuomo that he will remain in the race as a Indicant after the former governor of New York lost his democratic primary a few weeks ago. While exploding Cuomo, the pair also took the opportunity to slam the outgoing independent town hall candidate Eric Adams, who, on Monday, said that Cuomo “already had the opportunity” already “, but the New Yorkers no longer buy his message.

“Andrew is a two -digit loser in primary school. He lost in 12 points. He had his opportunity. He spent $ 25 million to get his message across. New York heard it. He didn’t sell it,” Adams said at a press conference on Monday. The comments followed a separate press release that his campaign published on Sunday in the midst of the rumors that Cuomo would return to the race as an independent, claiming that Cuomo’s “political double-end” was the reason why New Yorks “lost confidence”.

“I salute everyone in this race, and I am as confident as I was three weeks ago in primary evening when we faced Andrew Cuomo,” said the candidate of the Democratic Party, Mamdani, at a press conference on Monday after Cuomo’s announcement. “We did it because of the fact that, even if Andrew Cuomo and Eric Adams are rushing over themselves to conclude agreements in the back rooms with billionaires, we focus on the fight to work on New Yorkers. I think he has trouble reconciling with what Cuomo’s main loss meant (the main loss).”

Mamdani added that even if Cuomo may be imagined as becoming the following mayor, the primary democratic results have shown that New York’s “New York policy”.

“I understand that it is difficult for the former governor to accept (his loss) because it is a repudiation of the policy he has practiced that he has known for so many years, and it is the same policy that we light the page.”

Mamdani’s incapacity to go back these positions could cause a calculation in the Democratic Party: “ Harning to five alarms’ ”

Sliwa, the GOP candidate in the New York town hall race, also seized the opportunity on Monday after Cuomo’s announcement that he would reintegrate the race to slam not only Cuomo, but also Adams, telling Fox News Digital that the two impatiently work to “hang on to relevance”.

“Andrew Cuomo lost his primary and his skins in the Hamptons. Eric Adams jumped his and fled to Fort Lauderdale. Now, they both run as independents to hang on to relevance,” said Sliwa on Monday. “I am the only candidate for an appointment of major parties, a record of 50 years of service from New Yorkers and a real path to victory. Although they play musical chairs on a flowing ship, I got out of the campaign in New York, listening, manager and fighter to win it for people. Let the voters decide in November.”

In response to criticism, a campaign representative for Cuomo focused on Adams’ comments.

“It is a primary in which the mayor did not participate because he knew he would lose,” Rich Azzopardi told Fox News Digital. “The governor obtained 36,000 more votes three weeks ago that the mayor four years ago, when he was at the height of his popularity and people in fact wanted to give him a chance.”

Azzopardi also underlined an email that Cuomo sent to the supporters by noting that he “had made primary errors”, as being too comfortable with the survey which showed that he was the favorite. The email also spoke to Mamdani, but did not directly deal with Sliwa.

“I do not think that the voters of New York voted by the affirmative for a socialist form of government hostile to the growth of affairs and economic, and I believe that Zohran Mamdani constitutes a serious threat to the future of the city that we love. I will give everything to stop it,” said Cuomo email.

“I also believe that we all like New York City must be united to present the strongest possible candidate against Zohran Mamdani in the general elections of November for the mayor. Our common goal must be to direct the strongest candidate against Mr. Mamdani. The candidates will be held down, rather than acting as spoilers and will guarantee the election of Mamdani. “”

On Monday, the outgoing mayor Adams criticized the proposal mentioned by Cuomo in his emails to the supporters, who seeks to ensure that the rest of the field of the campaign undertakes to consolidate around the strongest non-Mamdani candidate.

“This proposal that was extinguished. It was Andrew’s proposal. He uses people to put out the things he would really like to come later and say:” OK, I approve of what an independent person does “,” said Adams on Monday.
