A massive cheating scandal that rocked US Naval Academy in 1994 and involved the representative of the Democratic Governor of New Jersey, Mikie Sherrill, also involved her husband Jason Hedberg, according to the New York Post report.

This follows the bad publication of the private military files of Bombshell by the National Archives and Records Administration, which revealed that Sherrill was not allowed to walk with his promotion at the Naval Academy and that his name was not included in the start program because of his involvement in the scandal.

Sherrill, a deputy representing New Jersey, was not accused of having cheated at the Naval Academy but rather of not having reported those who had deceived an exam.

The prosecution allegedly alleged that each applicant appointed had the regular procedure refused by the Academy and ordered by their superiors to make incriminating declarations, according to the point of sale.

The complaint said that “in accordance with the orders of their higher military officers, each appointed applicant was forced to make inculputing statements to the investigators of the Navy General”.

While Sherrill did not work in his start ceremony, the name of Hedberg is included in the early 1994 program, indicating that it was authorized to participate in the ceremony, which took place three months after the deposit of the prosecution.

Sherrill is locked in a tight race against the Republican Jack Ciattarelli to replace the Democratic Governor in the long term Phil Murphy.

The Ciattarelli campaign said that Nicholas de Gregorio, a friend who is not directly involved in the campaign, “submitted a legal foia application” Sherrill military background of his own will.
