First on Fox: Army Secretary Dan Driscoll described a set of training slides that considered pro-life groups as a terrorist organization a “serious error” which he will work to ensure that this will not happen again, in a letter obtained by Fox News Digital.
“This characterization was not only inaccurate but also deeply inappropriate,” wrote Driscoll to a group of lawyers for the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), which represents the Rescue operation, one of the pro-life groups affected.
Thousands of Fort Bragg soldiers have been trained in practices to combat terrorism and security with slides that have listed groups such as national rights to life and rescue of operations alongside recognized extremist organizations, and even underlined pro-life registration plates as potential warning signs. The practice lasted seven years until 2024.
“He was also worrying about the inadequate response of the previous administration to this serious incident. His inability to ensure total transparency or to assume responsibility for such a serious error is completely unacceptable.”

Driscoll has said that the army had since examined all security training documents, including anti-terrorist training, and removed the slides that referenced pro-life groups, as well as a multitude of pro-animal and green groups like Peta, as “terrorist organizations”.
“Rest assured that I am firmly determined to monitor rigorous monitoring of all army training documents to prevent such incidents from performing in the future.”

Agnes Schaefer, assistant secretary of the labor army and reserve affairs, said that the training game, which had been used to teach 9,100 army soldiers, was “incompatible with the policy and training of army anti-terrorists”.
The training module was used to instruct the soldiers on what to look for when keeping the base access points.
She said that there was “no evidence” to suggest that the individual who created the Sliding Bridge did it to “deliberately overturn” army policy or to “advance a personal point of view”.
“Thank you for opting for the left -wing ideology that had infected our military branches and bother our fighters, often masked in the bureaucratic marsh,” said Jordan Sekulow, Executive Director of ACLJ, in a statement responding to the letter.
“We know that you have a lot of work to do and that you have taken the time to solve this problem – not only in response to a conference surveillance function, but directly to our customer who was one of the people – confirms your commitment to the values for whom you are fighting.”
The slides were binding among the Republicans of the Congress, who asked for answers to army officials during a hearing last year and challenged with Schaefer insurance that the slide did not represent a personal point of view.

“It is downright ridiculous to claim that the slide bridge” no longer “no longer a personal point of view”, but there has been no consequences for the employee who organized anti-life training sessions in Fort Liberty who clearly violated army policy, “said senator Jim Banks, R-Ind., Told Fox News Digital in September.
It is not clear if a person involved in the production and use of the slide has been dismissed or reprimanded.
