The actress of “Snow White” Gal Gadot returned to her homeland on Sunday to stand with families in mourning in Square in Tel Aviv, widely considered as the epicenter of hostage activism of Israel.

In place, Gadot was photographed by kissing Lishay Miran-Lavi, the wife of Omri Miran, who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from their home to Kibbutz Nahal Oz, in front of her and their two young girls.

Gadot was also seen in his arms Einav Zangauker, mother of the hostage Matan Zangauker, who was kidnapped alongside her girlfriend Ilana Gritzewsky of Kibbutz Nir Oz during the attack. Einav has since become one of the most important figures among hostage families.

Gadot’s meeting with families underlined the deep connection that the eminent figure of Hollywood sought to do with families whose voices have become central to the national campaign for hostages. The forum later said that they had been deeply affected by his visit.

For families who have endured almost two years of fear and uncertainty, her presence was a rare moment of comfort and strength.”

“This visit was one of the many gestures and events that take place across the country today as part of the day of the judgment, and the love and support for families have been overwhelming,” added the organization. “This reminded us that the hostages have not been forgotten, that their fate counts not only in Israel but in the world, and that we are not alone in this struggle. The compassion and solidarity of GAL are among the strength sources which help us to continue until the 50 hostages are returned.”

This visibility, however, also made her a target of criticism abroad.

The actress, who recently played in “Snow White”, reportedly said in an interview with Channel Keshet 12 that she believed that Hollywood pressure for celebrities “is expressed against Israel” contributed to the disappointing performance of the film’s box office.
