Democrat governing Kathy Hochul is leading to each of her potential republican challengers of 20 or more in the potential confrontations of governor in 2026 in the state of New York in Sens Bleu, according to a new poll.
However, Hochul, who is looking for a second four -year term, which leads the country’s fourth state in the country, fails to reach 50% in a new survey by Siena College.
In addition, the majority of voters in New York State continue to want “someone else” governor next year other than Hochul, according to the ballot, which was led from June 23 to 26.
The investigation also continues to indicate that Representative Elise Stefanik is the pioneer of survey among three major Republicans considering a race for the appointment of GOP Gubernatorial, in the race to challenge Hochul next year.

Hochul, who was at the time the lieutenant-government of the state in August 2021, took an oath as the first woman governor in New York, after the Democratic Governor with three mandates. Andrew Cuomo resigned in disgrace in the middle of several scandals.
She then defeated and representatives. Lee Zeldin By just over six points in 2022 to win a full four -year direction in New York. Zeldin’s projection was the best by a republican candidate from governor to the blue state in New York since then, Governor-Gop George Pataki won a third term in 2002.
In July of last year, Hochul announced his intention to present himself in the elections in 2026, but the survey suggests that New Yorkers are far from being delighted with the state of their state.

Half of the people interviewed in the survey said New York was heading in the wrong direction, with only 37% saying that the Empire State was on the right track. The Siena survey last month said that the voters thought that the state was heading in the wrong direction by a much closer margin of 46% to 43%.
According to the survey, Hochul’s favorability rating remains underwater at 42% at 47%, while its employment approval rating continues to hover slightly in positive territory at 50% at 45%.
Only 37% said they were ready to re -elect Hochul next year, with 55% wanting to “someone else”. These figures are not very modified in relation to the Siena May’s survey.
Hochul leads Stefanik 47% -24% in a hypothesis of confrontation of the general elections in 2026, according to the survey.
The survey also indicates that Hochul is at the top of the GOP Mike Lawler representative by a slightly closer margin from 44% to 24% and the County of Nassau, Bruce Blakeman, by a slightly wider margin from 44% to 19%.
“While the first tracks seem important, Hochul does not reach the” magic “bar at 51% against any of these opponents, and in each confrontation, between a quarter and a third of the voters were able to choose between the two candidates,” said the director of Siena College Research Institute, Don Levy.

In a potential republican primary for the governor, the survey indicates that Stefanik (35%) continued to be the best Lawler (18%) and Blakeman (7%).
Earlier this month, Lieutenant -Governor of Hochul – Antonio Delgado – launched a main challenge to the Democratic Party against the Governor. In addition, the representative Ritchie Torres continues to think about a possible main challenge.
However, the survey indicates that Hochul (49%) easily exceeds Delgado (12%) and Torres (10%) at this very early point in the electoral cycle of 2026.
Torres said earlier this month that he would not present himself to the post of governor if Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani was elected mayor of New York in November.
