Spanberger swears to cancel the order of ice for young people, Earle-Sears objects

EXCLUSIVE: Virginia Lieutenant-Governor, Winstome Earle-Sears, reprimanded a plan announced on Wednesday by his Governor opponent in 2025, Abigail Spanberger, to cancel an executive decree which gives the police and jailers to work with Ice in particular circumstances.

“Well, we know that she will not be able to do it because she will not win,” joked Earle-Sears in an interview on Wednesday.

“The inhabitants of Virginia will vote for me because (the order of governor Glenn Youngkin is) common sense and keeps them safe. They have been safe since we are in office,” she said.

Earle -Sears said that she and Youngkin had supervised a drop in a third of crime on a state scale, and she rejected Spanberger’s remarks – first made An interview with Virginia Mercury – like “dangerous ideas” which are “any theory; no practical use”.

Youngkin’s order has sought to “maximize collaboration” with the DHS and “we (e) all the methods available to facilitate the arrest and deportation of unacceptable and removable illegal immigrants.”

To this end, Earle-Sears said that Spanberger’s commitment ignores major developments in the battle against illegal and other immigrant gangs.

Earle-Sears said that Richmond officials cannot focus on economic development and other major concerns of Virginians unless these voters live in a safe environment.

Consequently, she said, separating from the DHS is counterproductive and “dangerous” for citizens and federal agents carrying out immigration operations.

The Republican candidate stressed that she is also an immigrant – stressing that she has legally come to the United States – and had contrasted her story with that of many illegal immigrants arrested with legal lockers, noting that her family came from Jamaica in search of opportunities and better life.

“”These criminal illegal immigrants, they come here for the occasion to insure us, and they attack the very population of which they are part, “she said.

“We don’t want that.”

Youngkin also answered the news, asking for rhetorically if the “November choice could be clearer”.

“In his very first act as governor, (Abigail Spanberger) promises to transform Virginia into a sanctuary state for dangerous illegal immigrants,” said Youngkin on X.

“(Earle-Sears) promises to keep the criminals dangerous in our streets,” said the limited term governor.
