Two little brothers were jumping on a trampoline while sucking on hard candy – one of them nearly choked to death on the sour candy while the other saved his life!
The horrific incident was captured on video in the backyard of a Texas home, where the little boy and his older sister were playing a game that required them to each put candy in their mouths before taking turns jumping on a trampoline.
During one of his sessions, the boy jumped around the trampoline before falling to his knees, clutching his throat as he began to choke.
His sister quickly realized what was happening and jumped into action, performing abdominal compressions, also known as the Heimlich maneuver, and it worked! Eventually, the boy spit out the candy, and his sister saved his life.
Their mother was inside the kitchen of their home at that time… as she later recounted NBC News The video was difficult to watch, but she was “so proud” of her daughter.
The mother also vowed to never again let her children play on a trampoline with hard candy in their mouths.
That’s wise…but give the girl a medal. She deserves it!
