The head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., was taken to Washington hospital on Wednesday for dehydration, said his office, while the region continues to live another day of hot heat.
“Leader Schumer was at the Senate gymnasium this morning and was surprised,” Schumer’s office told Fox News. “By an abundance of prudence, he went to the hospital to be treated for dehydration and is now back to work in the Capitol.”

Temperatures in Washington DC should reach the 90s, some parts of the East Coast experienced a heat wave.
“Extreme heat alert for DC: Until 8 pm today. Diurnal temperatures will feel like 105 ° F or hotter. Drink water. Stay cool”, management of Washington DC Homeland Security & Emergency published on X.
Officials have warned people to take precautions to prevent heat -related diseases.

Schumer’s office said the senator wanted to remind everyone of “drinking water and staying out of heat”.
