Three groups of 60 potential jurors followed the selection process, where prosecutors and Routh – who represent themselves – asked potential questions to assess if they could participate fairly in the trial.
During Wednesday session, Routh said that he wanted to make an objection due to the accusation eliminating two black potential jurors.
“I want to raise that we have a racist situation,” said Routh.
But the accusation said that one of the potential jurors was Haitian and would be confronted with linguistic barriers and that they had no knowledge that the other was black.
On Tuesday, the American district judge Aileen Cannon eliminated a potential juror for the trial because the woman said: “I am Maga”. According to Cannon, the declaration showed “a self-declared bias”.
Another woman was eliminated as a potential juror to say that she “only follows the law of God” on a questionnaire.

During the session on Monday, Routh’s questions for potential jurors included their point of view on the war in Gaza, their position on the United States potentially acquired Greenland while the president floated and how they would act if they were driving and spotted a turtle in the middle of the road.
In response, Cannon labeled them “politically loaded” and said they were not necessary for the selection of the jury.
Prosecutors say Roth sought to kill Trump for weeks and marked a place in shrubs on September 15, 2024 when a secret service agent detected him by pointing to a rifle on Trump while the candidate in the presidential era played golf in his West Palm Country Club. Roth targeted his rifle on the agent, but abandoned his weapon to the scene after the secret service agents opened fire.
