The senior security official and former president of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, said that Moscow should consider launching “pre-empty strikes” against the West as a United States and its NATO allies have increased defensive support for Ukraine.

“The statements of Western politicians on this subject are complete nonsense,” said Medvedev, vice-president of the Russian Security Council, in an interview with TASS state media, according to Reuters Reporting.

“We must act accordingly. To respond in whole. And if necessary, launch pre-empty strikes,” he added.

The head of majority in the Senate says that the Republicans ready to move on to the Russian sanctions bill when Trump gives the green light

MEDVEDEV’s comments come only two days after President Donald Trump announced secondary prices in Moscow by slapping 100% prices on nations that buy Russian oil if the Kremlin does not conclude a peace agreement with Ukraine in the next 50 days.

Reports also surfaced this week by saying that Trump had thought about the possibility that Ukraine reaches the Russian capital when he was on appeal with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy earlier this month. Kyiv would not comment on the question and the White House said that the question had been “out of context” and was not an attempt to “encourage murder”.

Trump this week said the United States would send patriot missiles to NATO countries which would then be transported to Ukraine, and on Wednesday, he suggested that sophisticated weapons were already on the way to Germany.

“They are already shipped,” Trump told Journalists from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. “They come from Germany and then replaced by Germany. And in all cases, the United States is reimbursed in full.”

But the calendar of weapons delivery systems and where exactly they are transported so as not to be uncertain as spokesperson for the German Defense Ministry on Thursday, journalists had no knowledge of such an expedition.

“I cannot confirm that something is currently on the way. It is not known,” said the spokesman Diffusion of SRF diffusionBefore noting that a virtual meeting of Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) will take place on Monday, when the delivery specifications of the American patriot systems will be chopped.

Putin Maman on the 50 -day Ultimatum of Trump, Kremlin officials say that Russia “ does not care ”

But the rapid delivery of American missile systems seems to be an absolute priority for Washington and NATO, because Switzerland, which is not a NATO nation, also announced Thursday that its planned reception of five patriotic batteries, bought in the United States in 2022 with a naked delivery date before starting in 2026, had been delayed.

“The United States Defense Department informed the (Swiss Defense Ministry) that it repeated the delivery of patriotic systems to support Ukraine, focusing on air defense on the ground” The ministry said in a declaration.

“No declaration can be made at this stage concerning the exact calendar and any other involvement for Switzerland,” added the ministry. “Clarification is underway.”

Medvedev said Thursday that NATO’s action was a full war against Russia by the West.

“What is happening today is a proxy war, but in substance, it is a large-scale war (Western missile launches, satellite intelligence, etc.), sanctions packages, strong declarations on the militarization of Europe,” he told the Russian media.

Although the thrust of sending patriot systems and threats to sanction Moscow is important, because it is the first time that Trump has come into office that he has been trying to actively start to counter the war effort of Russian President Vladimir Putin, not everyone is convinced that he is strong enough.

EU leaders earlier in the week commented on the duration of the duration that the president awarded to Putin despite months of diplomacy not having given real action on the battlefield.

And Zelenskyy noted that 50 days of waiting mean 50 additional days of death for Ukrainian citizens.

“Fifty days, for us, it’s just – every day is scary,” said Zelenskyy in an interview with The New York Post Released Thursday.

“Putin lost President Trump’s time,” he added. “I would really like to see the United States, the Congress and the President put pressure on this situation with sanctions and therefore earlier, the sooner it can be, the better.”

“We would certainly like to accelerate this process,” added Zelenskyy. “We, for our part, will work to provide more information (in Trump), more arguments for strong sanctions against Russia.”
