Russia launches the main attack strikes in Ukraine near NATO on the NATO border

Two German war aircraft were scrambled during the Night of Romania after Russia launched a large -scale missile and a drone attack in Ukraine less than a mile from the NATO limit.

The Department of Defense of Romania said on Wednesday that two German Typhoon Eurofighter planes, parked at the Mihail Kogălniceanu air base in Romania, as part of the NATO air force mission, have not been deployed “to monitor the air situation”, but noted that this time, no Russian or projectile plane has crossed the NATO border.

Despite last week’s talks between Russian president Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump, Moscow continued his air bombing in Ukraine, including in a night attack that targeted the oil and port facilities in the Odesa region over and near the Danube river, which separates the Ukrainian border with the Allied country of Romania.

The deployment of NATO jets occurs after many incidents in recent weeks have increasingly threatened, and even crossed, NATO borders while the United States and Europe continue to push Russia to end its war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported early Wednesday that more than 60 ballistic drones and missiles had been drawn across Ukraine overnight, including the northeast region of Sumy, where a drone shot injured 14 people – although Ukraine increased the number of drones of night drones to 93, and noted that 62 of Shahed style drones.

“The continuous rescue operation,” added Zelenskyy, although he did not confirm how many others were injured during strikes.

“These are demonstrative strikes which confirm that the need to put pressure on Moscow, the need to impose new sanctions and prices until diplomacy is fully effective,” said Zelenskyy on X. “I thank all the partners who help to arrest this Russian war. “We need solid security guarantees to provide truly reliable and lasting peace,” he added.

Strikes are involved while NATO nations are preparing to meet practically on Wednesday to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine following high -level discussions between Trump and Putin on Friday, then Trump, Zelenskyy and the best NATO leaders in the White House on Monday.
