Russia has launched its greatest air attack overnight since the start of the war against Ukraine, a Ukrainian official said on Sunday.
Moscow pulled 537 air weapons to Ukraine, including 477 drones and lures and 60 missiles, according to Ukraine Air Force. Among these weapons, 249 were killed and 226 were lost, probably blocked electronically.
The attack was “the most massive air strike” against Ukraine since Russia launched its invasion in February 2022, told the Associated Press, communications manager of Ukraine, taking into account drones and various types of missiles.

Several regions have been targeted, including western Ukraine, located far from the front line.
The countries of Poland and the Allies have scrambled the planes to ensure the security of Polish airspace, said the Air Force in Poland.
One person was killed in a drone strike in the Kherson region, according to Governor Oleksandr Prokudin, while another died when a drone hit a car in the Kharkiv region, said its governor Oleh Syniehubov. Six people were injured in Cherkasy, including one child, said regional governor Ihor Taburets.

In the external Lviv region, a large fire broke out in an industrial installation of the city of Drohobych after a drone attack which also reduced electricity in certain parts of the city.
Ukraine said one of its War-16 War Airplanes fired from the West after having suffered damage when it was causing air targets, killing the pilot.

The new attacks are taking place after Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that Moscow was ready for another series of direct peace talks in Istanbul to end the war.
No end seems to be in sight because international peace efforts coordinated by the United States have not yet led to breakthroughs. Two recent series of talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul have been brief and have produced no progress to reach an agreement.
