Robert Mueller diagnosed Parkinson’s disease: report

Former FBI director Robert Mueller was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, his family revealed The New York Times.

Mueller is the former special lawyer who conducted the 2016 campaign in Russia by President Donald Trump.

Mueller, 81, was diagnosed in 2021 and retired from public life the following year after having briefly taught the law, according to a family statement provided to Times.

“Bob was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the summer of 2021. He retired from the practice of law at the end of this year. He taught his Alma Mater law school in the fall of 2021 and 2022, and he retired at the end of 2022,” the statement said.

“His family asks that his private life be respected,” they added.

Recently, Mueller fought with speech and mobility, leaving him unable to comply with a summons to the congress concerning the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein.

The former FBI director served the office from 2001 to 2013 and became a central figure in American policy during Trump’s first term.
