Resolution of the gold medals of the Congress proposed for the assassination Charlie Kirk

EXCLUSIVE: The representative Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., Presents a resolution to grant Charlie Kirk a posthumous gold medal in the Congress, the highest price which can be awarded to a civilian by the Congress, following his assassination on Wednesday.

Kirk, 31, was murdered while he speaks during an outdoor event at the University of Utah Valley, and a great manhunt is still underway for the suspect.

It was an icon of the conservative movement, mainly known for having founded Turning Point USA, which is recognized to help Enhber Generation Z and the Millennial Conservative activists. Kirk was a close ally of President Donald Trump and considered a very influential voice.

“Charlie Kirk was really an American hero. He was an incarnation of the ideals on which our country was founded. A devout Christian, a beloved husband and a loving father for his daughter and son, Charlie lived a life dedicated to the preservation and protection of faith, family and freedom through respect and open dialogue with anyone who wanted to get involved.” Digital in a declaration.

“His life has been tragically cut by an assassination to the hands of a terrorist, but his inheritance will live. I presented a resolution to honor him with the Congress gold medal, a little sign of gratitude and recognition for the incredible work he has accomplished during his life. America will always be a better place because of the life, faith and work of Charlie Kirk,” he continued.

According to a draft text of the resolution, which was obtained by Fox News Digital, two medals would be created – one to give to his family and another to the Smithsonian Institution for “display and preservation”.

The draft text adds that Kirk had an “undeniable love for his country and inspired a whole generation of young people to protect and boldly defend the principles of the American Foundation”.

Thursday morning, during a commemorative ceremony on September 11 at Pentagon, Trump announced that Kirk would get a presidential posthumous freedom medal.

“Charlie was a giant of his generation, a champion of freedom and an inspiration for millions and millions of people,” he said. “Our prayers are with her wonderful wife Erika and her beautiful children.”
