Israel is accused of having committed “crime against humanity of extermination” and of embarrassing religious freedoms in a recent United Nations report.
The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry into the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem-Est and Israel (COI), published a scathing report of 19 pages.
In a summary of the report, the COI declared that it “examines the violations of international law of human rights, international humanitarian law and any international crimes linked to attacks on educational facilities and religious and cultural sites”. However, the COI seems to be more severe on Israel than the Palestinian authorities.

In its conclusion, the COI offers 13 recommendations for Israel, two for “de facto authorities in Gaza”, two for “the government of the state of Palestine” and two for all the member states of the UN.
The report already arouses controversy, the American mission and legal experts expressing their concerns about its content.
“The latest report from the UN Kangaroo Court is a frightening indication of anti -Semitism and the incentive to violence widespread by the United Nations on a global scale,” said Anne Bayefsky, director of the Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust and the Holocaust of Human Right Voices in Fox News Digital.

Among his many accusations against Israel, some of the most flagrants include the affirmations that Israel restricts religious freedoms, citing his control over the Holy sites in Jerusalem. The COI declared in its report that the Palestinian faithful were “subject to security checks, control points, harassment and increased aggression and criteria, related to age, sex and place of residence, were applied by the Israeli authorities to restrict the Palestinians authorized to enter” Mount temple. The Commission also claims that a “religious leader” was arrested shortly after October 7 for a sermon he gave to the mosque without explaining what was said.
In addition, the commission also complained that “extremist Jews and right -wing politicians” were authorized “repeatedly to enter the site with an escort of the police, to pray and to cause a provocation, despite a long -standing ban against Jewish prayer”. The COI seemed to take more problems with the Jews praying than with the prohibition of their ability to do so, although it has claimed to urge restrictions on religious freedoms.
“They claim that the Jews exclude non-Jewish from religious sites when the exact opposite is true. Only Israel protects freedom of religion for Christians, Muslims and Jews, while the Jews have been prohibited and that Jewish religious sites have been systematically ransacked by Palestinian Arabs for a century”, Baysky told Fox News Digital.
In response to a request for Digital Fox News comments, a spokesperson for the State Department said that the United States “firmly opposes” the open and vaguely defined mandate of this coast “and that it” does not support its involvement in the survey on the current conflict given our reserves on its structure and its approach “.

Hamas is working on a help group supported by Trump with “ fake news ”: an Israeli official
To be clear, the Palestinians are going through hell in this conflict and this is due to the fact that Hamas put them in an impossible situation. We have been clear that Israel has the right to take measures against Hamas, but we have also been just as clear as Israel must take all possible precautions to protect civilians, “added the spokesperson.
In another part of the report, the COI notes that the United Nations Rescue and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) documented 42 instances from October 7, 2023 to March 15, 2024, in which “the parties to the conflict” interfere with its schools.
In response to a digital request from Fox News of comments and to clarifications that Hamas used its schools, UNRWA reiterated its convictions from “any party to conflict” by using its facilities for military or combat “.
“Since the start of the war, UNRWA has repeatedly condemned the use of UN installations by a party to the conflict for military or combat purposes. We have repeatedly called for an independent investigation and a responsibility for the flagrant contempt for life, premises and operations of UN staff,” said a spokesperson for UNRWA in Fox News Digital. “We reiterate our call to all the parties to the conflict to respect the sacred character and the neutrality of the United Nations installations.”
Although UNRWA has not directly examined if Hamas used its facilities, the Commission said the Israeli forces had caused “the majority of damage to educational facilities”. Although the Commission mentions the assertion of Israel that Hamas has operated on these schools, it also indicates that the terrorist organization “disputed” the allegation.

In its recommendations for Israel, the Commission calls Jerusalem to “cease the use of educational facilities and cultural sites for military purposes”. He also recommended that “de facto authorities in Gaza” – Hamas – “stop using civil objects for military purposes”.
The Commission also calls on Israel to “provide an effective, adequate and rapid appeal to victims of human rights violations, including members of the surviving family”, but does not apply for this type to the officials of atrocities committed on October 7.
