“This major randomized Scandinavian study reveals a reduction greater than 50% of recurrence in people with colon cancer and PIK3 mutation,” he reiterated, adding that more research must be carried out.

The study had certain limits, recognized the author. “As with any test, there are warnings. The study has not been propelled for detailed analyzes of sub-groups, and patients over 80 years old have not been included,” said Martling.
