Shameless comic strip writer on Kirk remarks that have triggered the cancellation of DC comics

DC Comics canceled his Batman spin-off “Red Hood” after the series writer made fun of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, arousing indignation online. Despite the benefits, the writer has since doubled his remarks.
The series was canceled by DC Comics after screenshots circulated online inflammatory publications on the social networks of the transgender author Gretchen Felker-Martin making a joke of the death of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk, saying that she hoped that the ball was OK after hit Kirk and call him a “Nazi B —-.”
A spokesperson for DC Comics confirmed that the whole series “Red Hood” had been canceled, including existing and future orders. The sellers would have been invited to return any problem they have already received, because the first book in the series had already been shipped when the series is canceled.

Felker-Martin, who was known to have stained with his messages on social networks, told the newspaper comics that his DC Comics superiors had also expressed their concern concerning his outing online before the Kirk incident. The concern followed media reports exposing the alleged celebration of Felker-Martin of the massacre of October 7, 2023 of more than 1,000 innocent Israelis.
“At DC Comics, we grant the greatest value of our creators and our communities and affirm the right to peaceful and individual expression of personal points of view,” said DC Comics spokesperson for Fox News Digital. “Publications or public comments that can be considered as promoting hostility or violence are incompatible with DC’s driving standards.”

Felker-Martin conceded in her interview with the newspaper comics that she showed “a moment of control of mediocre pulses” when the comments on Kirk.
“I cannot give it to a time of control of mediocre pulses,” she said. “If I had thought for another second, of course, I would have known (that it would be a problem for DC), and of course, as soon as I said, I knew.”
However, in first-hand remarks on his Patreon, Felker-Martin has proven practically no regrets for his comments.

“To say that Kirk was hoisted by his own petard in the most literal sense of the idiom (a firecracker is an early form of bomb or mine, generally in stone or pulled clay filled with black powder, a medieval predecessor of the ball), is to reduce the scope of his evil for the good of a summary of brilliance”, wrote the author in his answer on the Patreon. “The violent hypocrisy of men like Kirk makes this glibude almost irresistible, but behind it is a much greater and pressing truth, a vital illustration of the way violence is brought in the world, which we expect from this violence and which is allowed to create and handle it.”

In addition to Felker-Martin’s work on “Red Hood”, she also wrote for Time Magazine and published several science fiction and horror books that have collected the distinctions of bestseller. In one of his books, entitled “Manhunt”, Felker-Martin writes on the fictitious murder of the anti-transgender activist and author of Harry Potter JK Rowling, who is killed when her castle takes fire and collapses on her.
Fox News Digital contacted the representatives of Felker-Martin to ask for comments for this story, but has not received an answer.
